Life is Special

Jack Davenport

Life is special.  There is no denying that, and every human being would agree that this is rather a fact than an opinion.  Having the opportunity to walk God’s great earth is a privilege awarded to those who are significant, impactful, and confident in making a change in this world.  Each and every person, though it may be hard to perceive at times, has the purpose and destiny to do something great.  Now, what that “great” aspect is surely depends on one’s perspective, but each and every person who reaches the stage of the womb is being presented the opportunity to change the world.

Unfortunately, due to the work of medical improvements, that right to an impactful life has been infringed.  Women who have conceived have been given the option to kill the child within them.  It’s funny to think how adults, especially woman, are against child abuse and protect children from it everyday, but yet these same people are in favor of abortion.  Abortion is the ultimate child abuse.  Choosing to take a child’s life to fit your own needs presents irresponsibility, weakness, and ultimately murder.  Now some will argue that raped women, who may have not been prepared to receive a child, should be given the right to an abortion.  That is extremely false, for there is no difference between the results of sex and the results of rape.  Both end up with a conception of a child, and that child has the right to a life.  If the mother does not want the child who was a result of rape, then she simply puts the child up for adoption once it is born.  Even better, going through the nine month stages may even prove something to the woman, and maybe she will end up keeping the child.  But if she doesn’t, she should put the child up for adoption.  That way, she will not have to live with the horror of knowing that she killed another human, and the child will be in a better place.

Ultimately, the choice made in abortion is not a personal one but one by another human.  The mother is making the choice for the unspoken child, and that is significantly illogical. I will be marching Thursday to speak for those who can not, and to protect them from the ultimate form of abuse.  These kids have the opportunity to grow up and become something special, and they should not be denied that right from the acts of abortion.
